GREGGS has opened at a new location in Winsford.

The popular bakery has made the short trip across Winsford Cross Shopping Centre to bigger premises.

The move has created four new jobs for the area while the new unit offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming customers to our new and improved shop in Winsford, with four new members joining the existing team.

“We look forward to providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”

Greggs opened at 1C Dingle Walk, formerly home to Shoe Zone, for the first time on Saturday (May 4).

The bakery had previously been located at Unit 8.

It will continue to stock all of the on-the-go retailer’s most popular items including sausage rolls, steak bakes and vegan alternatives.

The shop will also offer ice drinks such as cloudy lemonade and iced mochas, which are only available in limited shops across the UK.

It opens from 7am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.

As such, customers will be able to enjoy breakfast options, served until 11am, and from 4pm onwards will be able to pick up a pizza slice and a drink for a reduced price of £2.85.

The new store will also have a click-and-collect service, with customers able to beat the lunchtime rush by ordering via the Greggs app.

He said: "We are thrilled to announce the relocation and expansion of Greggs within Winsford Cross Shopping Centre.

"This move not only reflects the growing demand for great value and quality options but also aligns with our vision of creating a vibrant retail destination that caters to the evolving needs of our patrons.

“We believe the expanded Greggs store will further enrich the shopping experience for our visitors and contribute to the ongoing revitalisation of Winsford's town centre."
